Flex, located at Donaukanal / Augartenbrücke 1 in a disused railway bunker between the underground stations Schottenring and Augartenbrücke, is widely regarded as the top hotspot of Vienna and one of the best nightclubs in entire Europe.

This typically Euro Smoky club is one of the noisiest of its kind, with the most amazing sound quality and the best acoustic system in the country. In fact, there are signs displayed at its entrance that warn club-goers of the tremendous bass-loaded volume and the risk of ear-injury! The sizzling dance floor is connected to the Danube embankment where crowds gather at the waterside terrace on sultry summer nights to party until dawn. The music policy has become rather mainstream in recent times, but a good mix of house and techno is still played regularly. Special DJs, like Pete Doherty, Juliette and the Licks or Arcade Fire, man the console once a week and there are multi-cultural events and live performances by local as well as global artists and underground bands to pump up things now and then.

There’s even a Flex Cafe for those who wish to enjoy easy listening and mellow music, where computers connected to a jukebox allow the patrons to select and play their own preference from an archive of over 700 CDs. There’s no cover charge at the café.

Flex is open every night 8pm-4am, although things don’t heat up until past 10pm. Monday night is known as ‘Dub Club’, ‘London Calling’ on Tuesday night features indie and alternative rock, and Thursday night ‘Sub’ is the hippest event on account of Flex’s distinctive drum ‘n’ bass musical style. Prices are cheap and the clientele is on the younger side. One of the hottest venues in the city of lights, Flex is indeed a must-visit for all the trendy folk out there!

Propaganda – Moscow

Propaganda, located at 7 Bolshoi Zlatoustinsky Pereulok, is one of the oldest and best nightclubs in Moscow that has recently regained its erstwhile glory and popularity among clubbers, expats, tourists, and the cosmopolitan in-crowd, while maintaining a novelty factor.

The club’s interior oozes casual chic, there’s an open space at the main dance floor, as well as cozier corners on the first floor. The bar serves beverages for cheap during the early hours. As the night wears on, tables and chairs are shifted to make additional space at the dance floor and the casual bar transforms into the party centre.

Propaganda is open Monday to Friday, noon-6am, and 3pm-6am during the weekend. Thursday night house parties are the most popular and get some of the best music and crowd, when the famous Moscovite DJ Sanches mans the console. Guest DJs from Ninja Tune, Compost, Grand Central, and major UK house labels have also played at the club. Saturday night draws the sub-urban crowd to Propaganda, while Tuesday and Wednesday nights are mostly dedicated to electronic music and underground hip hop. Chinatown parties on Sunday nights are gay events for the rainbow family. In 2007, Propaganda launched the ‘nu rave’ parties which are now a regular on Fridays and attract long queues and huge crowds with glowsticks and colorful outfits.

The club also functions as a chill-out café during the daytime, serving delicious food and moderately priced drinks until around 11pm when the dance events begin. This bustling hotspot attracts a mixed crowd and is one of the best places to go for an unpretentious boogie. There’s a strict face-control policy at the doors one should beware of con artists and pickpockets near the club. Nonetheless, in the Russian epicenter of glorious hedonism, Propaganda promises to be one of the best night outs in town!

Avalon, strategically located at 1735 Vine Street next to Arclight Theatre in Hollywood, was once the historic Palace Theatre often simply known as ‘The Palace’ that has been remodeled and restored to its original tinsel town glory with oodles of freshness by the Lyons Group.

One of the hottest party spots on the Hollywood Boulevard, Avalon boasts of a large club space of 800-plus capacity with a big dance floor and a main stage that famously features live bands and top DJs. VIP booths equipped with exclusive table service overlook the dance floor from the other end of the stage. There are three bars, a smoker-friendly patio and an upper balcony with additional opera box seating. Upstairs is the exclusive Bardot (formerly Spider Club aka After Dark), a warm and intimate lounge-cum-dance club, while downstairs is Honey, a connected restaurant with spacious leather booths and lavish chandeliers. After dinner hours, the restaurant space serves as a secondary dance floor to Avalon with its own line-up of DJs. This norm changes on Friday nights, when Honey is a part of Avalon only until 2 am, after which Spider Club takes over the space, and one has to pay additional cover to return to the same room.

With its state-of-the-art light and sound system, Avalon is a favored venue for live concerts, award shows, fashion shows, film shoots, screenings and premiere parties. The club has been a witness to legendary performances across decades by superstars such as Judy Garland, The Beatles, and Frank Sinatra to Prince, Snoop Dogg, and Nirvana. The incorporation of UK electronic wonder-act Hybrid as its resident DJs by the club has been one of the recent feathers in its cap.

Avalon is open Thursday to Saturday, 10pm-daybreak. Special events include Tiger Heat on Thursdays, Control on Fridays and Avaland on Saturdays, subject to change. A towering presence in the ever-changing nightlife scene of this brightly lit city, this fun and fashionable mega-club is a carnival of riotous colors and real Hollywood glamour.

Sage Club, located at Köpenicker Strasse 76 in Mitte, is the hottest dance club and live music venue of a city notorious for its wild all-night party culture. The club is housed underground in a formerly disused part of Heinrich Heine Strasse Station, a location that lends instant glamour to the establishment.

This cool and concrete-walled hotspot boasts of sophisticated interiors and a cutting-edge light and sound system (bass-loaded). There are several separate dance floors, an Oriental lounge adorned with a fire-breathing dragon, and an outdoor space complete with a rooftop pool and wooden deck. The décor is an interesting fusion of such jet-set style and quirky design, like gargoyles overlooking the bars. The pool area is preferred by those who wish to sit and talk or to simply chill. There are DJ’s and live performers to keep the music playing, from rock, hardcore and industrial, to Britpop and 90’s classics. In fact, the club’s eclectic music policy belts out everything from techno and rock to funk and house, depending on the day, the area, and the audience, the current craze being ‘rock meets electronic’ The crowd is diverse and dynamic, often on the younger side, and serious about clubbing.

Sage Club is open Thursday from 10pm and Friday to Saturday from 11pm until close or 6am. Thursdays are the weeknights, when admission is free until 11pm and live rock acts supported by the DJs set the party scene. ‘Funky Friday’ and ‘Slave to the Rhythm’ Saturday are the most popular nights when the party crowd groves to some classic house and tough techno beats.

Sage Club is undoubtedly one of the top nightspots in the whole of Germany, and somewhat of an institution in Berlin itself, with a far-reaching reputation that makes it a must-visit for the serious clubber or adventurous traveler.

Les Bains Douches, located at 7 rue du Bourg-l’abbé in le 3ème arrondissement, is an exclusive Parisian hotspot, made famous by Cathy & David Guetta, the celebrated French DJ. The name ‘The Baths’ is derived from the space occupied by the club, which formerly functioned as a Turkish bath that attracted gay clients, including the notable Marcel Proust.

Renovated and modernized into a trendsetting late-night dance club, this has been the favorite party destination of the city’s glam set since the 80s, which makes it possible to rub shoulders with A-listers like Mick Jagger, Tom Cruise, Kate Moss and JLo. Both the floors are equipped with top sound quality where everything from the latest house and rock to electric and Eurodance set the scene. Live DJs who grace its decks include local stars like Busy P and well-known names such as Erol Alkan. The blue and white tiled floor perhaps recalls the bygone, but is offset by the lively dance floor where dancing begins at midnight. The bar stays open until the wee hours, and there is a restaurant on the first floor that serves Thai cuisine, where a meal costs anywhere between $50 and $200.

Les Bains Douches is known as much for its multiple theme parties as for its celebrity clientele and eclectic playlist. Promising young bands take the stage on Thursday nights, on Friday the club hosts the hottest DJs from around the world and Saturday nights are dedicated to gay events. The clientele too is increasingly gay, although sexual orientation is no issue at all.

The club is open Wednesday to Sunday, 11pm-6am. The restaurant opens its doors at 8pm. To make it in past the severe bouncers with minimum hassle, reserve a table at the restaurant beforehand.

Drop in at Les Bains Douches for a taste of the hottest party atmosphere in the city. A true Parisian treat, in every sense.

Mansion, located at 1235 Washington Ave on South Beach, is a standout in the nightlife scene of America’s ‘Sun and Fun Capital’. Owned and managed by the Opium Group, this is a scrupulously designed super-club set in a renovated art deco theater that was first built as the French Casino in 1936.

The club’s novel ‘residence-meets-nightlife’ concept is reflected in its multiple floors of striking Art Deco design and architectural elegance; complete with nine bars and four dance floors, each with a unique musical styling. The Art Deco architecture is widely regarded as the cherry on the cake of Miami’s local nightlife. Some of the stunning design elements include the seeping staircases, ornate fireplaces Venetian glass mirrors, dazzling crystal chandeliers, decadent brick walls, towering keystone arches and cozy lounges, along with some modern Lucite pieces and luxurious banquettes thrown in for good measure.

There are three main rooms; two of them feature mostly hip hop and house music while the third serves as a fashionable VIP area. Large events and OTT parties are held here every night of the week, especially on the weekends, from fashion shows straight of the runway to burlesque acts, Striptease Sundays, and more.

Mansion is open Wednesday to Sunday, 11pm-5am. With its strict dress code and door policy, it is advisable to dress to impress, arrive early, preferably in a mixed group of males and females, and to try be on the guest-list. Probably the most extravagant popular destination in town, Mansion is where the rich and the famous like to party, where the entertainment world hosts some of its glitziest events, from Diddy’s MTV Video Music Awards celebration party to performances by Britney, Prince and Velvet Revolver. Appropriately tagged “Miami’s Hottest Club” by People magazine, they don’t call it ‘Miami Vice’ for nothing!

JET Nightclub at the Mirage Hotel, conveniently located between its main and north valet entrances, is the last word in nightlife experience and has been designed by the famed Jeffrey Beers and developed by the Light Group.

The 15,000 square ft multi-level dance club can accommodate up to 2,000 people and hosts some of the hottest specialty DJs from across the world. The casual chic dress code, cutting-edge audio and visual system, DLI light projectors, private access, handpicked VIP hosts, and black book of celebrity clientele places the club in a class of its own. The ceiling of video screens offers live play by play live view of the stunning scene, and the state-of-the art light and laser grid on the main dance floor gives the JET that pulsating vibe of unsurpassed energy. An exclusive European bottle service is available throughout the club.
JET features three distinct rooms, each a spacious and luxurious accommodation with its own dance floor, DJ booth and sound system. The main room is larger than the rest, and offers the best of rock, hip-hop and popular dance music. House music is spun in another room, while the other plays an eclectic mishmash from 80s to rock. Four full-service libation bars serve specialty cocktails. Beer is expensive, and it’s easier to get a drink in one of the side rooms as the main bar is inevitably the busiest.

This Vegas hotspot hosts some innovative events and crazy parties, like the annual ‘Pole-A-Palooza’ where pole dancers compete for a $10,000 prize and ‘Boobs or Bust’ where female clubbers compete for a pair of breast implants.

JET is open Monday and Thursday to Saturday 10:30pm- 4am, Monday being the local night. There is no cover for club-goers with local IDs. Female guests staying at the Mirage are entitled to the Ladies ‘free’ wristband; it’s worth two drink coupons at the club before midnight. One should reach early to beat the line, and it is easier to gain admission if a table has been already reserved with bottle service. VIP entry tickets for immediate access can be purchased online.

JET is easily the #1 nightclub in the City of Lights, the hottest place to be for the coolest nightlife experience.

Webster Hall, located at 125 East on 11th Street, is a historical and architectural landmark in the heart of New York’s famous East Village area. It is not only one of the hottest nightclubs in NYC but also the largest, with 5 DJs, 4 floors, performance stages, luxurious lounges and 40,000 square feet of entertainment space. Webster Hall is one of America’s premiere entertainment venues & nightclub since the 90s.
Quite the oldest club in town, it has recently re-invented itself with plasma screens featuring cool deco-visions, advanced lighting system, new furniture and new bars into an exclusive venue for the ultimate dance party of the city that never sleeps. There is music of every type for every taste, played by big rock bands, small rock bands, pop performers, celebrity DJs, and even the rare unknown face. Among the famous acts that have played at the club are John Mayer, Pink, Green Day, Linkin Park and Lady GaGa
One of the many attractions, The Marlin Room is a dance hall that shakes to the Tops 40s & mash-up Beats mixed by those who man the Mac. The Grand Ballroom is a tremendous dance floor with one of the best stages of the country and an oversize TV screen from the club’s earlier days. Colored lights and a giant disco ball add a special touch. The upstairs balcony offers the trappings of a velvet-rope area, but mostly remains open to all.
