The Magic World of Disneyland Park in California

Disneyland Park, California

Disneyland is one of the most known parks in the world, receiving thousands of tourists every year, who travel there from every country and place on earth. It opened in 1955 and is the child of Walt Disney, the father of Mickey Mouse and all other famous cartoon heroes.

In early 1940s children were asking to see the house of Mickey Mouse and fairy tale heroes and heroines such as Snow White, however Disney was against bringing people to the company’s designing rooms, thinking that cartoon making process would be boring for kids. Instead, he had the brilliant idea to create a character display studio. He conceived the idea for a cartoon land; however everyone was against him, thinking that his plan was way too expensive. Disney invested money himself, selling his house and borrowing money from his insurance in order to make his vision come true. He paid all artists and employees from his personal funds.

Disneyland in California became the first theme park in the world and one of the most successful businesses ever; featuring more than sixty attractions and seven themed lands, the park covers a total area of 85 acres. The Park belongs to the Disney Corporation that also includes Downtown Disney shopping and entertainment centre as well as the hotels situated within the premises of the Resort.

People who plan to travel to Anaheim in California in order to visit Disneyland should be aware of the immense crowds that flock to the area every summer or during holidays. In some cases, visitors are required to make reservations a month in advance, especially if they want to have a meal at the Blue Bayou on any other dining outlet within the Park, or take a tour along with a Disney character. The Park tends to be overcrowded, especially with small children.
