Learn the Real Meaning of Luxury at the Alva Park Resort & Spa

Alva Park Resort & Spa, Spain

The Alva Park Resort & Spa in Girona, Spain, is often described as an oasis in the middle of an unassuming locale. An oasis is literally an isolated area in a desert, usually with a spring or any similar water source. This is not to say that Girona is a desert, especially since many consider this area as one of the most progressive cities in the province of the same name. Girona has a number of sites and attractions, although it is not as popular as Barcelona or Madrid. As a proof of this, the area has a number of budget hotels for travelers who want to experience the different side of Spain. But the Alva Park Resort & Spa is definitely a different experience altogether.

As a member of the Leading Hotels of the World group, the Alva Park Resort & Spa is renowned for being one of the most outstanding hotels in the country. The resort is a modest 88-room affair, but its relatively small size does not take away its beauty or its superb facilities and services. A general overview of the hotel would reveal that it does look like an oasis—its brilliantly designed pool (with lanterns and elaborate statues surrounding it) would welcome the guests, and the hotel buildings and lush greeneries surround it. The affair is intentionally simple but not basic. It remains to be adequate and it serves its purpose wonderfully. The stylistic simplicity of the Alva Park Resort & Spa makes it more elegant and stylish, as it highlights function and beauty rather than the aesthetic non-sense lesser hotels employ.

Staying true to its luxury hotel tag, the Alva Park Resort & Spa offers a number of suites to address the various needs of their guests. The accommodations of Alva Park Resort & Spa are suites—not rooms—so guests can expect spacious and generous rooms, features, amenities, and furnishings. Junior suites offer sensible and stylish accommodations for reasonable price; of course, even though it is the most affordable of the lot, it still provides ample space and superb amenities and services. Other suites address the guests specialized needs. Their children’s kingdom suite, for instance, does what its name suggests: provide rooms that children of all ages will love, with its handmade Victorian dolls, large model train set, television with a Playstation 3 console, and a children’s library, among others. Other great suites offers by the Alva Park Resort & Spa include the Grand Deluxe Seaview Suite, the Turkish bath Junior Suite, and the Premier Seaview Junior Suite.

The Alva Park Resort & Spa wouldn’t be called as such if not for its wellness and beauty amenities. One of the amazing beauty amenities of the resort is the Indian Princess Bath, a special where the guests can bathe in warm salt water while enjoying the most soothing underwater music. The resort/s Molton Brown Spa, on the other, offers a spa experience unlike anything in this side of the globe. The trademark Molton Brown spa is a treatment with three levels, each of the levels with a specific purpose for the individual. Other services and amenities include the indoor golf club, the fitness room, and the massages of the world service. The Alva Park Resort & Spa also has a number of restaurants and bars, such as the A Flor D’Aigua (a gourmet restaurant), the Minamo (a sushi and sashimi bar), and the Lanai (a lounge that serves late snacks).

The Alva Park Resort & Spa is not exactly located in the most desired of locales, as many guests would say, but the entire experience at this luxury hotel would make up for the location of the hotel.
